Admission Requirements and Details

• Separately, a minimum GPA of 3.5 in SSC/Equivalent and HSC/Equivalent (including additional subject).
• Minimum CGPA of 2.5 in five O-Level courses and two A-Level subjects individually (A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2). Subjects with an E grade will be disregarded.
• Candidates who have finished 12 years of study at a reputable educational institution are also eligible to apply. (Please email admissions@bracu.ac.bd prior to applying)
• Candidates who have completed the IB-DP with a DP score of at least 24 are eligible to apply.
• Candidates who finished their education outside Bangladesh will be required to present verified/attested copies of their prior academic records from their Institute/Foreign Ministry, as well as equivalency certificates from the Dhaka Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
• GED is ineligible.

Subject requirements for particular program

EEE, ECE, APE, CSE, and PHY candidates must have a least B grade in Physics and Mathematics at HSC or a minimum C grade in Physics and Mathematics at A Levels.

Candidates for the BSc in Computer Science and BSc in Mathematics programs must have a minimum B grade in mathematics at the HSC level or a minimum C grade at the A Level level.

Candidates for the BSc in Electronic & Communication Engineering and Electrical & Electronic Engineering programs who have Physics and Mathematics but not Chemistry at the HSC or A Levels must complete a remedial Chemistry course in addition to the program's necessary courses.

Candidates for the BSc in Biotechnology and Microbiology must have obtained a least C grade in Biology and Chemistry at the HSC/A level. Candidates who do not have Mathematics at the HSC/A level must complete a remedial course in addition to the program's mandatory courses.

Candidates for the BSc in Pharmacy must have passed the HSC/A-level/Equivalent with the following scientific subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in Biology and Chemistry and 2.0 in Mathematics (in a scale of 5).
