Programming Language I

This class would teach the basics of computing and explain why computers are used to do math. A lot of time will be spent on learning how to analyze problems and make algorithms and programs. There will be talks about:

1. An overview of digital computers, programming algorithms, and making flow charts.

2. How digital computers store and use information. Using the right language, write, test, and run programs on different digital computers, including file management.

3. Data structures, abstraction, recursion, iteration, and the design and analysis of basic algorithms.

Every week, you have to do lab work for 3 hours as part of the course. Students will be given problem-solving and program-design homework, as well as weekly lab assignments to help them remember what they've learned in class.
